Tramier & F. Beaujolais-Villages AOP 750mL
Appellation: Beaujolais Villages AOP
Varietals: 100% Gamay
Beaujolais Villages is an Appellation from the southern part of Burgundy. The wines produced in this area tend to be a little deeper and darker in colour and character than the Beaujolais Appelation. It is also a big step up in quality.
Tramier Beaujolais-Villages wine is highly aromatic with floral and fruity bouquets. Ripe red berry fruits with juicy, racy acidity and a hint of black pepper. A superb ruby colour and a well-developed nose. On the palate, an earthy and supple attack of red fruits and hints of dried prunes. Medium-bodied with well-rounded tannins and a good acidity balance. Long and developed finish. A wonderful expression of Beaujolais-Villages and what the Gamay grape can offer at an affordable price
Whole bunches are put in a stainless-steel vat for maceration for 10 days. After a delicate pressing (to avoid rough tannins), the wine is left to age in old oak barrels a few weeks, and subsequently bottled. Ideal cellaring up to 5 years.
Tasting advice: To be served at 12-14 0C, either with red meat and soft cheese or simply enjoyed on their own.
