Adelina Eternal Return Arneis

Adelina's Eternal Return Arneis is drawn from a few measly rows rooted in the Bowe Lees vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, 390 metres above sea level. If you like your Arneis in the crisp, delicate, almondy apéritif guise, look away now: Arneis means "little rascal" in the Piedmontese dialect and this textural savoury rendition of site and grape lives up to that name. With creamy lime and apple-fresh fruit, and a chewy, phenolic-edged grip to finish off, there is nothing simple or sedate about this delicious wine. In spite of the extract-rich palate (given even more sustain by 12% spontaneous fermentation in neutral oak), the wine remains zingy and super refreshing, encouraging you to have another glass, ad infinitum. If there is a set of sports posts in the near vicinity, keep an eye out for Col McBryde--he's the guy kicking goals through them
