Good Intentions Noir Dee Doot Dah Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir from the wife-and-husband winemaking team that comprises Good Intentions combines an old world, Burgundian style with an authentic expression of the volcanic terroir of Mt. Gambier. The fruit is pulled from a single vineyard, then separate parcels are either destemmed, whole-cluster fermented or put through carbonic maceration, all with indigenous yeast fermentation, and each style is aged separately in its own old oak barrel for seven months, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result is full of juicy fresh cherry framed in gravelly undertones with crisp acidity. Slightly reminiscent of Etna Rosso, this wine exudes a bright, earthy minerality that is signature to wines from volcanic soils, yet is unmistakably Pinot Noir. Clocking in at a cool 11% ABV, you won't want to put this one down!
