The Hermit Ram Skin fermented Field Blend
Theo Coles cultivates wine in the Waipara Valley in North Canterbury, New Zealand. This field blend contains Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer and Cabernet Sauvignon all picked on the same day. The nose has a kind of dank earthiness to it which blows off very quickly to reveal soft strawberry fruit and some slight creaminess. Piquant red fruit on the palate with exploding cranberry and some bright acidity. A light chewy texture on the finish. Really good stuff.
